Busy at work, busy after work! Errands, dance lessons, playing golf, seems like we are running somewhere all the time. We have all our chores for the trip out West and the big event done and I could pack my suitcase and go tomorrow! Oh, except I have a bunch of work to do before I go.
I did mark my 2nd anniversary of my non-cancer self. Spent the whole day over at Coast Guard Headquarters in a couple meetings. Not much of a celebration, but it was a nice summer day, and I had lunch with a couple friends outside at the Marina Cantina, one of my favorite places.
Labor Day we spent a sad day at our friends' son-in-law's funeral in Cincinnati. He was killed in Afghanistan, 25 years old. It was a huge service, with the mayor and the governor there to present Terri with the bronze star and purple heart, full military funeral. Too sad.
Off to the Eastern Shore in the morning, 3 days of meetings out there. By the time I come back, it will be 7 days until we leave for Seattle! 20 days from today for the wedding! whoohoo!
